The CHOPIN PLUS concert series presents the iconic piano works of Frédéric Chopin in a compelling dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Internationally acclaimed pianist Pietro Massa invites audiences to experience the timeless magic of Chopin’s music in the context of past and future soundscapes. Through annual matinees, held on the first Sunday of May, Massa reveals the fascinating connections between Chopin’s oeuvre and the visionary sound worlds of other composers.
Each concert offers an inspiring musical dialogue between Chopin and another “composer colleague,” with Chopin always at the center of these intersections. This approach highlights the enduring relevance of Chopin’s works, showcasing why he is the soul of this series.
Through these richly interwoven comparisons—linking Chopin’s piano masterpieces with compositions from eras both long before and after his time—the stylistic connections and contrasts become vividly perceptible to the audience.
